How Does It Work?
@Glamourhouse_Dresshire Boutique is open for try ons by appointment. We book out VERY quickly (often 5-14 days in advance) so get in early!
Simply complete the contact form to book a 30 minute try-on session. We encourage you to try on as many dresses as you can during your visit to make sure you find the perfect one.
We do not charge for these appointments, however ask for 12-24 hours notice if needing to move your booking, so that we can offer your time slot to another customer.
The dress hire fee is only payable if you find a dress you love and wish to book it.
Payment Options
In-person hires:
Payment can be made via cash, bank transfer.
The full hire fee must be paid if you wish to book an outfit. It is strictly non-refundable.
The bond however is not payable until you collect your outfit for your event.
Online/postal hires:
Payment can be made via bank transfer or Paypal (2% Paypal fee applies).
The full hire fee, plus bond, plus postage fees are to be paid together upon booking.
Bookings
Bookings can be made in-store once you’ve decided on a dress you can email us or send us a message on our Instagram page.
Interstate bookings can be made via email or through our Instagram page @Glamourhouse_dresshire
Most customers book their dress 3-6 months in advance to avoid missing out on their faves! However you can leave it until the week of your event if you're a risk taker!
Hire Fee
The hire fee is due upon booking your item. It is non-refundable for any reason.
Bond
A bond is payable on or before the collection of your dress. Our standard bond is $100, however this may vary occasionally for some of our new stock or more valuable pieces. Your bond will be returned to you after the garment is returned, cleaned & inspected.
If the dress is returned in the required condition, your bond will be returned to you within 7-14 days, (usually via bank transfer).
Cancellations or Change of Mind
If a cancellation is made after a dress is booked, the hire fee will be held by Glamourhouse Australia. It is non-refundable.
If you change your mind on which dress you would like to hire after a booking has been made, Glamourhouse Australia may allow you to swap for a dress of equal or greater hire cost if in stock at their discretion, subject to availability.
COVID Cancellations
Should your event be cancelled or postponed due to COVID, please contact us straight away. We ARE NOT ABLE TO OFFER YOU A REFUND however we are happy to move your hire to your new date if postponed so long as your dress is available for that new date. If cancelled completely we may be able to offer you a hire credit to be used within a set period of time which may be for the same event or a different event/same outfit or different outfit. This is determined on a case by case basis as each situation is unique. We do however ensure our customers are well looked after as your happiness matters to us greatly.
Dress/Item Collection
Dress collection date/time will be agreed upon between the lessee and Glamourhouse Australia. This will usually be 1-2 days prior to your event. The full hire fee and bond must be paid prior to this day if paying via direct deposit, or bond may be paid in cash on collection.
Drivers Licence, student card or other valid identification will be required for sighting on or before collection.
Returns & penalty fees
Return date and time will be determined between Glamourhouse Australia and the lessee, however unless otherwise arranged, weekend hires are expected to be returned on or before 4pm on the first Monday following your event. A later date may be negotiated in certain circumstances.
Where a Garment has not been returned to Glamourhouse by the agreed Hire Return Due Date & time then Glamourhouse shall be entitled to charge additional Hire Fees until the Garment is returned and the Client expressly authorises Glamourhouse to charge such additional Hire Fees. Such additional charges shall be charged a fixed rate of 50% of the Hire Fee for each day overdue.
* If you a hiring from interstate you must return the item via Express Post the NEXT business day following your event date as to not interfere with the next persons hire date of that item - or full bond may be held.
Important note:The lessee agrees not to attempt to clean or press their garment in any way. Cleaning of all garments is taken care of by Glamourhouse.
Damaged Items
The Client accepts full responsibility for the safekeeping of the Garment & acknowledges they have inspected the garment & are happy with the garment's condition upon collection. Any faults or damage that are not pointed out upon collection or that are discovered after collection are the responsibility of the client, not the responsibility of Glamourhouse.
Glamourhouse Australia inspect all items upon return. We understand that accidents can happen, so should an item be returned stained or damaged we will simply use the full bond or a portion of the bond in order to repair the garment. If a garment is damaged (or lost/stolen) beyond what the bond covers, whether or not such loss, theft, or damage is attributable to any negligence, failure, or omission of the Client, then the Client will be liable to pay full retail cost replacement of the item.
Should this occur, the Client also agrees to cover the hire cost for the next customer booking of the same Garment should Glamourhouse need to cancel on the next customer in order to refund them for their cancelled hire.
The damaged garment remains the property of Glamourhouse.
Glamourhouse retains property of the Garment nonetheless all risk for the Garment passes to the Client on pickup.
